Had a lovely day today taking my daughter to her first King George. Fantastic performance from Long Run and his pilot Sam Waley-cohen. Perhaps people will get off his back now. I'm not entirely sure what the criteria are to be considered a proper jockey, but in my eyes anyone who has won at the Cheltenham festival, Aintree over the National fences and a King George must surely fit the bill! Visited Chalk Pit Stables, the new abode of Libby and Kylie after the races and saw my latest acquisition Caldermud in the flesh for the first time. A decidedly questionable attitude and no oil painting but at least starting to resemble a racehorse now rather than the RSPCA case he looked 2 months ago when he was picked up. Can't wait to see what he can do. We may well start him off in France. Vive la revolution!
