Congratulations to my pals the Quinlans who left bookmakers at Lingfield paralysed after one of the betting coups of the century panned out beautifully with both horses Bishopsbriggs and Tell Halaf being backed off the boards and coming home unopposed. Barry Dennis was heard squealing "foul play" to the stewards having allegedly done a 5 figure sum. What a shame, couldn't have happened to a nicer fella. To be honest I wasn't involved in this particular gamble as by the time I was told they were 7/2 and 11/4 respectively. I was however involved in one an hour later when Ian Mongan delivered Dalhaan to win the 5.10 Kempton by 4 1/2 lengths at a very rewarding 11/1! A slightly late but very timely christmas present to all Ormonde Racing punters. Congratulations must go to the trainer Luke Dace who deserved this one as he has had a pretty miserable year and is a thoroughly decent fellow. Well done buddy and Happy New Year.
