Another body blow came this morning in the form of Mr Poulton informing me that Buddy has a slight injury and has had to have a couple of days of Bute, thus disallowing him from running for eight days. Very frustrating as he has now missed the novice hurdle on the Plumpton Sussex National card and an all-weather engagement at Lingfield on Wednesday that looked eminently winnable. These things are sent to try us and after the best part of two years off the track I don't suppose another week will kill me. Hopefully a return to business on the revised King George card at Kempton on Jan 15th providing there is something suitable for him.
